MBC104 Safely Testing & Commissioning Solar PV Systems

In this solar photovoltaic (PV) training course, learners will take a comprehensive journey through the solar PV test and commissioning process for residential, commercial, and utility scale systems. 

The course establishes a strong foundation in subject specific health & safety issues and preparations for the test and commissioning of renewable energy technology assets.  

The course focuses heavily on local and international testing standards, including but not limited too;

International IEC 62446-2:2020

UK MCS MIS 3001 

US National Electrical Code Article 690.1

• Understanding of key health and safety risks 
• Understanding pre-testing calculations and preparation 
• Comprehension of Standard Test Conditions 
• What to expect when testing in extreme hot & cold
• How to perform a thorough visual inspection
• How to safely connect to 1000V & 1500V PV systems
